Job Summary
The Site Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the installation of mechanical systems at the project site, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems. The role ensures that all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise on-site installation of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, etc.).
- Ensure all works are executed as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with the technical office, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure accurate and efficient implementation.
- Monitor daily site progress and prepare regular reports for project management.
- Attend site meetings, inspections, and testing/commissioning activities.
- Identify and resolve site issues, conflicts, or design discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
- Assist in preparing red-line drawings and final as-built documentation.
- Ensure proper material storage, handling, and usage following standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical site supervision, preferably in MEP or construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical shop drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with local authority regulations and approval processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is a plus.
- Good organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
